Street artists from around the country will descend on the Benalla this month, turning the town into an outdoor urban contemporary art gallery for one weekend.
Held from 27-29 March, Wall to Wall will be Victoria’s first ever regional urban contemporary art festival. What began as a series of free workshops and an “urban take-over” of the Benalla Art Gallery, has turned into a ground swell of support from the local community, leading to the formation of the Benalla Street Art committee. Since forming, the committee has worked tirelessly to raise funds and secure permission from wall owners to make the event possible.
With a line up of artists and activities to rival any other street art event in Australia – including Rone, Adnate, Askew, Sirum, Guido Van Helton – the town is set to become Victoria’s premier home for high quality urban contemporary art.
